Edit menuThe Edit menu has commands that allow you to cut, copy, paste or delete selections to and from the a part of your computer's memory called the Clipboard. ClipboardThe clipboard is an area of your computer's memory used for holding information that is put there by the Cut and Copy commands. It retains information as long as EasiWriter is open on the icon bar. Information on the clipboard can be copied within a document or from one EasiWriter document to another.
CutThe Cut command removes the current selection from the document, and at the same time makes a copy of it on the clipboard. Any previous information on the clipboard will be replaced. Note pressing the Delete key has the same effect. CopyThe Copy command copies the current selection from the document to the clipboard. Any previous information on the clipboard will be replaced. PasteThe Paste command inserts the contents of the clipboard at the caret. Note: The Insert key also pastes the contents of the clipboard at the caret. DeleteThe Delete command removes the selection and does not affect the clipboard. Backspace has the same effect. Intelligent Cut and PasteIf a word is selected by double-clicking Cut, Backspace and Delete automatically remove the spaces on either side as necessary. Similarly if the word is inserted using Paste or Insert into another part of the document the spaces are automatically added where required.
