ArtWorks 2 features (1)

ArtWorks is the platform's most popular advanced vector graphics applications, making the creation of posters, leaflets, greeting cards or other artwork for printing or for the web easier than ever.

The current version is 2.X3.00 (27-Oct-17).

Key benefits of ArtWorks:

  • Powerful yet easy to use interactive tools
  • Advanced rendering technology featuring multiple transparency types, dynamic clipping and anti-aliased display
  • Illustrations can be used natively in many other RISC OS applications (e.g., Impression, OvationPro, EasiWriter, OHP2 and many others), even including transparency and clipping.
  • Illustrations can be exported in standard Draw format* for use in even more RISC OS applications
  • Runs on all RISC OS machines with RISC OS 3.5 or higher, including the Iyonix

*without transparency, clipping and shadows

The following pages list the main ArtWorks 2 features in chronological order as they were added to the application:

Please note that ArtWorks 2 comes on CD and requires RISC OS 3.5 or higher. Due to interface changes required for the 32-bit conversion, third-party plug-in modules for ArtWorks version 1.x do not work with ArtWorks 2. Most notably, this means that the Pressure tool cannot be used with ArtWorks 2 (not even under a 26-bit version of RISC OS). An improved version of the Arranger tool is included with ArtWorks 2.3 or higher.
